I am a would be, wanna be, wish I was writer. Young adult, specifically.
This is the place I keep the things I love, as most do. The things that make me laugh, inspire me, and, most importantly, keep me writing.
I am a procrastinator, a nerdfighter, and a coffee addicted receptionist.

@3 months ago with 1 noteSpending the night figuring out each of my characters archetypes and psychoanalyzing them.
Nerd fun, you know.

I feel better about it, now that the plot hole is smaller. Nice. It is 6,624 words and the whole novel is at 93,244 words. So, I took a hit there. Oh well. Had to be done.
On to chapter 8…
@7 months agoWorking on my second cup of coffee. My cat is snuggled up behind me. Just reread the last scene of chapter 5 and made some still needed improvements there. Felling much better about tackling chapter 6.
Lets get this party started.
@10 months agoThat’s all I want from this day. I’ve written. I’ve grown more and more frustrated at work. I just ordered dinner.

I forgot to tell you. I finished revising chapter 3 on Wednesday. Working on 4, with hopes of finishing it this weekend.
It’s just over 5k and what used to be the first 8 chapters are now three. The book is currently
WHAT!!!! Sorry, just checked the novel is OVER 80,000 WORDS!!!!

Progress!
New goal, 85k.
@11 months ago with 1 noteSo far in chapter three… which is good. It’s a chapter with a lot of important events, but I didn’t write a lot of detail the first time around.
I am really enjoy the writing, but more importantly I’m enjoying changing the Scrivener tabs from “first draft” to “revised draft.”
Motivations. I have them.
@11 months agoIn just once scene. Feeling pretty darn good about it.
Yeah, I guess I’ll go to work now.
@11 months ago with 1 noteI love looking into the archetypes of my characters. I feel like I have reaffirmed all of my choices, and cleaned up some messy bits in the book to boot.

I love writing.
@7 months agoThat moment when you open the wrong document and you panic because you think your novel has been deleted.

As I re-read my dialog:

Well, this is all going to need to be rewritten.
@10 months ago with 3 notesWooo! Longest it’s ever been! The longest I’ve ever worked on a novel. The most words I have ever written about one subject!

I have decided that at the end of this month my short story will be pristine from thorough revisions and submitted. That’s my camp nano goal. Not as crazy as a novel in 30 days, but I need to set goals that will further my writing aspirations.
Also I need to do some blind research for my novel. (I say “blind” not meaning actual research on being blind, but researching something that doesn’t have that much info on it… so I’m going into this blind…) I would like that stuff outlined before the end of the month.

And you are amazed at how good it is. And you realize that you will now have to keep this perfection up for the rest of you’re story.

Delete.
