sitting in the noble ready to edit. no music on headphones in. need to give off the right impression. now i just need some inspiration

Camp Nano

With the start of camp nano tomorrow I have set up my goal for the month. I would like to have 15k put into my 2nd novel and finish the hand edits to the 1st novels first act. I think that’s reasonable.

Woke up at 2 thinking it was 8. Now I’m at Starbucks enjoying my after noon, plugging away at novel edits. My plan: get chapter one clean and send it to my uber fantastic writing buddy, Kat.

"Write. Rewrite. When not writing or rewriting, read. I know of no shortcuts."

Submitting Death of a House and Run today. Maybe Cracks too, for good measure, but only after a good edit. Then working on Where the Pavement Goes and The Red Line. After that, notes on Arrow and if I’m feeling very accomplished I’ll edit my novel or novella as well.

To a day of short stories! (And maybe novel-ing!)

Finishing up this chapter edit for my novel and watching the Hunger Games… again.

Then blogging, reading, and bed. Love Saturdays.

Just lit a candle. Playing “We Built a Home” by Dave DeRose. Shit is about to get real. Novel, here I come.

just re-arranged my writing/reading room. Looks like this girl has a novel to edit.

Also my cats right next to me. Writers and cats make the best teams.

Just completed the last of my 2nd draft edits for Act 1 of my novel. The last two pages were a bit half assed as one of the edits was “more running, more panic, more stuff’ but the point is its done. 

Now comes the fun part of retyping all of this as my drop box account saved only non writing files because my life is filled with first world problems.

Having the biggest mental block in editing.

The plan for the rest of the night: edit until i cant think, read until I can’t see, then watch a movie until I fall asleep

Finally. This scene is edited. Not done. Not perfect. Just edited. It’s now in second draft stages which means I don’t have to look at it for a while. 

I can finally move on to the next scene. Just need to deiced if my frustration level is too high to tackle a chunk of it tonight.
