So If you have been following along, I’m currently writing a YA novel.
I was thinking, as a huge thank you to you guys who have been with me since, pretty much, the beginning of this novel, why not put your names in the book? Obv, the main characters are taken. But I still have a large group of people to introduce. Names for some, just descriptions for others.

Back track
In order to have a clear story to bring into writers group I have to go back and rewrite/clean up some stuff from nanowrimo.
The story isn’t bad, and I don’t mind going through it again. It’s just the last time I went through a story a, I ended up overworking a really good plot. I gave up on before it was finished because I was so sick of it.

Before work today...

My MC’s are at a perfect place to kiss. BUT it’s only half way through my book. I never pictured that this moment would be in the book at all. I don’t know what to do. Let the hormonal teens snog or leave readers screaming “KISS DAMMIT KISS!”

Tomorrow I will sleep in...
And it will be the first time in a very long time. And then I will go to work. And that is all. Nothing planned after. No makeup jobs. No movie set or stage show to dash off too. Just work and lots of sleep. And then I will be ready and refreshed to write again.

Dream Sequence?
I have so many. And they are my favorite parts of the story to write and share. But… the problem is that they don’t connect back to the story. They are just my MC’s brain fleshing out what’s going on. I think I’ll have her get a “message” in the dreams later on. But is that enough? How do you feel about dream scenes?

Two shits and a fucker.
This is just an opinion question.
I am writing the story the way it needs to be, each word has purpose (even the “bad” ones). I don’t know if these will even make it into the final draft.
But, I always like getting outside views on things like this. What are your thoughts about swearing in young adult (or any genre/age range) novels?

Awwww Yeah!
Just re-wrote that whole gun scene I was struggling with. Not only is the scene about a million times more powerful and nessicary to the book, but it does not sound like an instruction manual.
I LOVE when writer me just goes “Stop whining, I’ll handle this.”
